SECOND READING OF ORDINANCE 06-1205 - REZONING OF LOT 4. <br />CASSELBERRY EXCHANGE FROM COMMERCIAL GENERAL TO PLANNED <br />MIXED USE. HIGH INTENSITY - 168 AND 174-190 STATE ROAD 436 <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 06-1205 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY OFFICIAL ZONING MAP AS ESTABLISHED IN ARTICLE <br />IV, SECTION 2-4.3, UNIFIED LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS OF THE CITY <br />OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED; <br />ESTABLISHING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF PMX-H (PLANNED MIXED <br />USE: HIGH INTENSITY) FOR THE PARCEL DESCRIBED IN SECTION I OF TillS <br />ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, CODIFICATION AND <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />Legal Advertisement: The notice of public hearing relative to Ordinance 06-1205 was published in the <br />Orlando Sentinel on September 14, 2006. <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Eugene Miller, Interim City Manager, stated Ordinance 06-1205 provides for changing <br />the current CG (Commercial General) zoning designation to PMX-H (planned Mixed Use: High Intensity) <br />on Lot 4 within the Casselberry Exchange Rep1at. The City Commission approved Ordinance 06-1205 on <br />first reading on August 28, 2006. <br /> <br />Budget Impact: This amendment does not affect the City's budget. <br /> <br />Recommendation: The Interim City Manager and the Acting Community Development Director <br />recommended approval of Ordinance 06-1205 as presented. <br /> <br />Public Hearing: Mayor Goff opened the public hearing for Ordinance 06-1205. The following individual <br />came forward: <br /> <br />1) John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, requested clarification of the exact location <br />of Lot 4. Mayor Goff stated it is the current Starbucks and tenant building, part of the <br />Casselberry Exchange shopping center on State Road 436. <br /> <br />No one else came forward. Mayor Goff closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Commissioner Hufford moved to approve Ordinance <br />06-1205 on second and final reading as presented. <br />Motion was seconded by Commissioner Doerner. <br />Motion carried unanimously 5 - 0 by voice vote. <br />
