<br />City Commission Meeting <br />November 20, 2006 <br />Page 7 <br /> <br />. Rotating collection services to be provided free of charge to the City among all Franchisees, <br /> <br />. ModifYing the performance bond requirements to better correlate to the smaller and <br />competitive solid waste collection business (i.e. compared to residential collection, in which <br />there is only one Franchisee), <br /> <br />. Enhancing legal protection for the City, <br /> <br />. ClarifYing arbitration to items not involving material default, and <br /> <br />. Addressing typos within the Ordinance <br />Staff Recommendation: Approve Ordinance 06-1208 as presented on second reading and public hearing. <br /> <br />Audience InDut: None <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Moved by Commissioner Susan Doerner to approve Ordinance 06-1208, <br />Commercial Solid Waste Franchise, on second reading and public hearing as <br />presented. Motion was secouded by Commissioner Colleen S. Hufford and <br />carried on a 5 - 0 vote. <br /> <br />12. First Readin!! of Ordinances <br /> <br />A. Ordinance 06-1209 - Amendment to City Code of ordinances - Chapter 62, Personnel Policies <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 06-1209 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AMENDING <br />THE CITY CODE OF ORDINANCES, CHAPTER 62, PERSONNEL POLICIES, <br />ARTICLE XIII, SECTION 62.1201(d)(I); AM ENDING THE DEFINITION OF <br />IMMEDIATE FAMILY; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Ordinance 06-1209 amends City Code, Chapter 62, Article XIII, Section 62.1201 (d)( I) <br />which redefines the definition of immediate family by adding half-brother, half-si ster, grandfather, <br />grandmother, grandson, granddaughter, wards and legal guardian to the list of immediate family where an <br />employee may be granted bereavement leave not to exceed four days with pay. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: Approval of Ordinance 06-1209 on first reading and schedule the public hearing <br />for December 11, 2006. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Moved by Commissioner Colleen S. Hufford to approve Ordinance 06-1209, <br />Amending Chapter 62, Personnel Policy regardiug bereavement leave, as <br />presented on first reading. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Susan <br />Doerner and carried on a 5 - 0 vote. <br />
