D/B/A TEl, FOR DESIGN OF THE RE- <br />ALIGNMENT OF PLUMOSA AVENUE WITH THE SOUTHERNMOST HOME <br />DEPOT ENTRANCE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND <br />EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Resolution 06-1699 authorizes Amendment No.2 to the City's design services <br />Agreement with Transportation Engineering, Inc. (TEl) for transportation and planning design services <br />related to intersection improvements for Plumosa Avenue and U.S. Highway 17-92. Staff is in the process <br />of pre paring documents to acquire right-of-way acquisition from Cambridge Developmentwhich is required <br />for the redesign project. This project has been delayed pending results of a ground penetrating radar <br />investigation which reflected unmarked graves within the proposed project area. AmendmentNo. 2 provides <br />for the redesign ofthe intersection including several design sub-elements that require modification. The cost <br />associated with the services outlined for this project is $38,97 I .82, which is budgeted in the Infrastructure <br />Surtax Fund (I ]4-0710-541.63-43). <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: Approval of Resolution 06-1699 as presented. <br /> <br />Audience InDut: <br /> <br />I) Cynthia Barnes, 224 Lake Ellen Drive, Casselberry, Florida, was perplexed about the design and the <br />way the alignment of Plum os a and Home Depot would be accomplished. <br /> <br />2) John Casselberry, 700 S. Lost Lake Lane, Casselberry, Florida, suggested two signals in close <br />proximity rather than a realignment. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Moved by Commissioner Colleen S. Hufford to approve Resolution 06-1699, <br />for Continuing Services Contract TEl for re-alignment of Plumosa and U.S. <br />17/92 Intersection as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Linda <br />Hart and carried on a 5 - 0 vote. <br /> <br />D. Resolution 06-1700 - Supplement Agreement No. I to the Contract for Professional Infrastructure <br />Review Services with CPH Engineers, Inc. for Transportation Review Services for North Winter <br />Park Drive, Triplet Lake Drive and Plumosa Avenue Re-alignments ($27,912.75) <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 06-1700 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING <br />THE EXECUTION OF SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT NUMBER 1 TO THE <br />CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE REVIEW SERVICES <br />WITH CPH ENGINEERS, INC.; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, <br />AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Resolution 06-1700 authorizes an agreement with CPH Engineers for Supplement # 1 <br />to a professional infrastructure services contract that will provide for plans review of several on-going <br />transportation projects.
