<br />City Commission Meeting <br />May 8, 2006 <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission, on April 26, 2006, voted unanimously to forward the study to <br />Commission for review. Should the Commission approve the study document, an ordinance will be prepared <br />for Planning and Zoning approval and then brought back to the City Commission for consideration at a final <br />public hearing. <br /> <br />7. Citizens' Comments <br /> <br />1) Hal Billerbeck, 531 Sundown Trail, Casselberry, Florida, stated the Commission should follow its <br />own rules of Boardman ship, passed at the last City Commission Meeting, when making comments <br />about citizens that come before the Commission to speak on a matter. <br /> <br />2) John Casselberry, 700 S. Lost Lake Lane, stated that the City should consider extending the area of <br />the CRA District instead of extending the time. He also stated there should be a permit for any <br />planting any types of vegetation in City lakes. <br /> <br />8. Public Hearin!!s <br /> <br />A. Public Hearing and Second Reading of Ordinance 06-1191 - Future Land Use Map <br />Amendment (LP A 06-01) for Property Located at II Lemon Lane <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 06-1191 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, TO AMEND <br />THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, BY AMENDING THE <br />OFFICIAL FUTURE LAND USE MAP, ESTABLISHING THE COMMERCIAL <br />FUTURE LAND USE MAP DESIGNATION OF C (COMMERCIAL) FOR THE <br />PARCEL AS DESCRIBED IN SECTION I OF THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING <br />FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />Le!!al Advertisement: The Public Hearing Notice for Ordinance 06-1191 was advertised in the Orlando <br />Sentinel on April 28, 2006. <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Ordinance 06-1191 is a request from Mr. AI Tehrani, applicant, to amend the Future <br />Land Use Map designation from Medium Density Residential (MDR) to Commercial (C) for the Shoot <br />Straight property located at 11 Lemon Lane, approximately 0.231 acres. Since the property is less that ten <br />(10) acres, the amendment request is being processed as a Small Scale Amendment and is consistent with <br />the Comprehensive Plan. The City Commission approved Ordinance 06-1191 on first reading on April 10, <br />2006. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: Approval of Ordinance 06-1191 on second reading and public hearing. <br /> <br />Audience InDut - No requests. <br />
