City Commission Meeting <br />April 24, 2006 <br />Page 8 <br />Commissioner Hart spoke in favor of extending the CRA for the ten-year period to 2025. <br />Commissioner Cook was opposed to the ten-year extension and stated that it was premature and <br />should be delayed until soil testing have been completed on the site for the civic center and parking <br />garage. She indicated that the issue of the civic center and parking garage should be placed on the <br />ballot for the November election and the voters say if they are willing to fund the civic center, then <br />the extension of the CRA would not be necessary. <br />MOTION: Moved by Commissioner Susan Doerner to approve Resolution 06-1672, <br />to extend the Casselberry Community Redevelopment Agency's Term <br />from 2015 to 2025, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Colleen S. Hufford and carried on a 3 - 2 vote. Mayor Goff and <br />Commissioner Cook dissenting. <br />Resolution 06-1673 - Code of Boardmanship <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 06-1673 by title as follows: <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />ADOPTING A CODE OF BOARDMANSHIP POLICY; AND PROVIDING <br />FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Staff Presentation: Item presented at the request of Mayor Goff and prepared by the City Attorney. <br />Commissioner Hufford stated that it should be noted that issue was addressed two years ago by <br />Commissioner Doerner who requested the item be considered by the Commission, but it was never <br />brought back to the Commission for action. <br />MOTION: Moved by Commissioner Susan Doerner to approve Resolution 06-1673, <br />Boardmanship Policy, as presented. Motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Colleen S. Hufford and carried on a 5 - 0 vote. <br />12.
