City Commission Meeting <br />April 24, 2006 <br />Page 9 <br />Commissioner Hufford - No Report <br />Commissioner Hart - <br />Expressed appreciation for the City Volunteer Board Appreciation Dinner held on April 22, <br />2006. <br />The next CALNO Meeting will be held on May 3, 2006 in Oviedo. <br />Mayor Goff - <br />• Reported on the City/County Joint Advisory Committee requested a letter from the City <br />regarding the Mosquito Control issue; five of the seven cities have already joined in the <br />effort. The Committee discussed a county -wide stormwater authority and public utility <br />board. Also discussed was a county -wide consolidation of fire service. <br />• A meeting by invitation will be held for elected officials on May 25, 2006 from 7:30 a.m. to <br />9:00 a.m. hosted by Progress Energy. The results of the Envisions Seminole county -wide <br />survey will be released at that time. <br />• John Mica, State Representative, will be holding a Town Meeting on April 30, 2006 from <br />1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the DeLand Museum of Art. <br />• The Seminole County Sheriff s Office will be holding its first Annual Seminole County <br />Sheriffs Flog Run" on Saturday, June 3, 2006. The motorcycle and barbeque event will be <br />for the benefit of the family of a fallen officer who recently lost his battle to cancer. <br />13. Staff Reports <br />City Manager Pavlis <br />• The UCF Community Survey is 70 percent complete and a presentation will be made to the <br />City Commission when the survey is completed. <br />City Attorney Reischmann - No Report <br />
