CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION
Minutes and Verbatim Transcript of November 8, 2005 Workshop
Page 9 oft7

VICE MAYOR HART: Oh, absolutely.
MAYOR GOFF: Commissioner Hufford?
COMMISSIONER HUFFORD: Excuse me. Along with that, I think that we may want to run numbers,
assuming thirty thousand, or assuming fifteen thousand. I think that would be...
JOHN STAINBACK: Run a total development budget?
COMMISSIONER HUFFORD: Right.
JOHN STAINBACK: You mean; yeah.
COMMISSIONER HUFFORD: In the budget...
JOHN STAINBACK: That makes sense.
COMMISSIONER HUFFORD: yeah...(INAUDIBLE)...
JOHN STAINBACK: Yeah.
COMMISSIONER HUFFORD: So that we can evaluate.
JOHN STAINBACK: Yeah.
COMMISSIONER HUFFORD: And the other thing that we have to look at is we have not really had a
feasibility study. Mr. Fortini was working on one...
CITY MANAGER STAMPFLER: Yes.
COMMISSIONER HUFFORD: ...with the civic center to see what is a good civic center. You know?
Like you say, eighteen might be the big number. Fifteen is inefficient and suddenly you outgrow it and....
CITY MANAGER STAMPFLER: Correct.
COMMISSIONER HUFFORD: ...and its unfortunate.
CITY MANAGER STAMPFLER: There are just so many facets in this, in this project ofthat nature, that
its just an excellent opportunity for the City if we proceed and get all those answers, and so that will help
make us comfortable.
COMMISSIONER HUFFORD: And also, may I add too that I believe that three of the Commissioners
were on board in the last few years that approved a civic center, and so, I feel the same way, since I'm a new
Commissioner, that I feel that that's one of the things that the citizens do want to see, but definitely an
excellent project needs to go forward, and so I would want to tell Unicorp that that is still something that will
be very important to us is to see what we can do to have the best civic center that we can for the dollar, or
community center.
MAYOR GOFF: Commissioner Cook?
