CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION
Minutes and Verbatim Transcript of November 8, 2005 Workshop
Page 7 oft7

MAYOR GOFF: Ithink that you also stood in front of us and told us about other ways that, there were other
ways, grants and funding that, that could be obtained to assist.
JOHN STAINBACK: And I intend, and we intend to do that, and we've already presented two options for
you to consider and more is on the way, but I didn't feel like, I didn't feel like we should go forward, without
talking to Unicorp in more depth and get clarifications from them.
MAYOR GOFF: Okay. I'mjust having a hard time understanding how you go forward if you don't know
what size the civic center is or if there is a civic center.
JOHN STAINBACK: Yeah. That is a miscommunication because I assumed you wanted a thirty thousand
square foot building and it was my job to figure out how to finance it.
MAYOR GOFF: Yeah, might, might well be, but we haven't come to that conclusion, nor agreement, nor
even had that discussion.
JOHN STAINBACK: Okay.
MAYOR GOFF: Go ahead Commissioner Doerner.
COMMISSIONER DOERNER: You can correct if, ifI'm wrong, but I believe that you're stating that you
need more information on the fundamental process in terms of how this is from the ground up going to be
constructed from Unicorp.
JOHN STAINBACK: Yeah, I mean, its, its not a process. It's a, I need for Unicorp to react to our, our
critique of their proforma. Yes. And to get clarifications because there's, there's; we have over, I think
nearly twenty or twenty-five questions from them and clarifications we're asking.
COMMISSIONER DOERNER: And I, I did have one question. It was not possible to get that information
during this period, when you were constructing? That was, if! had one issue, that would be....
JOHN STAINBACK: It was my suggestion a couple of weeks ago that we, that we do meet with Unicorp
III before we met with you, and I was told that you wanted to talk to us before we did that.
COMMISSIONER DOERNER: Okay. And I would just like to add one thing before we discuss it further.
We have a new City Manager on board. I also looked through the information and had some cursory
discussions with Mr. Segreto and Mr. Stampfler, and I would have no problem with waiting thirty days, in
light of this being his second day on the job.
CITY MANAGER ST AMPFLER: I would appreciate that very much.
COMMISSIONER DOERNER: Okay, and I don't know if you would like to comment further. If you...
CITY MANAGER ST AMPFLER: Yes, actually I would. We've met for several hours, between yesterday
