<br />CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of August 9. 2004 - Regular Meeting <br />Page 9 of 13 <br /> <br />Audience Input: <br /> <br />I) John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, spoke in favor of Resolution 04-1513. <br /> <br />2) Win Adams, 105 Springwood Place, Altamonte Springs, stated the charter amendment <br />was a quality of life issue and urged a moratorium on new development so that the matter <br />could be fully addressed. <br /> <br />Commission Discussion: Discussion ensued regarding actions being taken by other Seminole County cities <br />regarding the proposed charter amendment. Commission consensus was to authorize the City Manager to <br />take any necessary actions if the charter amendment moves forward at the County Commission meeting <br />Tuesday, August 10,2004. Mr. Clifton suggested that the City Commission authorize the Mayor to speak <br />on behalf of the City Commission at the County Commission public hearing on the matter on August 10th <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Clark moved to approve Resolution 04- <br />1513 as amended. Motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Doerner. Motiou carried unanimously <br />by voice vote. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Clark moved to authorize the City <br />Manager to take any necessary actions, including legal <br />action, deemed necessary if the proposed rural <br />boundary Seminole County charter amendment moves <br />forward at the Seminole County Commission meeting <br />of August 10, 2004; and to authorize the Mayor to <br />speak on behalf of the City Commission in opposition <br />to the proposed charter amendment at the August 10, <br />2004 Seminole County Commission meeting. Motion <br />was seconded by Commissioner Doerner. Motion <br />carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />4. BOARD APPOINTMENTS <br /> <br />Planning & Zoning Commission: One (I) vacancy exists on the Planning & Zoning Commission due to <br />the resignation of Glenn Pressimone (term effective to January 2006). <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />DISCUSSION: <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Clark moved to appoint Hal Billerbeck to <br />the Planning & Zoning Commission to fill the <br />unexpired term of Glenn Pressimone, term effective to <br />January 2006. Motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Doerner. <br /> <br />Commissioner Cook noted that Mr. Billerbeck had scratched out the Planning & <br />Zoning Commission on his application and named the Board of Adjustment as his <br />
