<br />CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of August 9, 2004 ~ Regular Meeting <br />Page 10 of 13 <br /> <br />primary choice. Commissioner Cook recommended Tony Tizzio to fill the vacancy <br />on the Planning & Zoning Commission. Commissioner Doerner stated it was her <br />understanding that Mr. Billerbeck's first choice was the Planning & Zoning <br />Commission. Commissioner Doerner stated she had concerns with Mr. Tizzio's <br />lack of a response on his application with respect to the questions pertaining to <br />desire to serve on the board and vision/goals for the City. Commissioner Cook <br />pointed out that Mr. TizZÎo included a resume with his application. Commissioner <br />Hart concurred with Commissioner Cook's observation regarding Mr. Billerbeck's <br />application. Commissioner Hart recommended Alice Dunham to fill the vacancy <br />on the Planning & Zoning Commission. Commissioner Cook and Commissioner <br />Hart voiced concerns regarding the lack of applicants for the Board of Adjustment. <br />Vice Mayor Clark and Commissioner Doerner felt Mr. Billerbeck's qualifications <br />would be more of an asset to the Planning & Zoning Commission than the Board <br />of Adjustment. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Motion to appoint Hal Billerbeck to the Planning & <br />Zoning Commission carried 3 - 2 (Commissioner Cook <br />and Commissioner Hart dissenting) by roll call vote. <br /> <br />Roll Call Vote ofthe City Commission: <br /> <br />Commissioner Doerner - Yes; Commissioner Cook - No; Commissioner Hart - No; Vice Mayor <br />Clark - Yes; Mayor Pronovost - Yes. Motion passed <br /> <br />Board of Adjustment: Three (3) vacancies exist on the Board of Adjustment due to the resignations of <br />Richard Smith (term effective to January 2005), Jeffrey Bush (term effective to January 2006), and William <br />Lovett (term effective to January 2006). Commissioner Doerner stated Mary Anne Gauvin indicated to her <br />that she would be willing to serve on the Board of Adjustment. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Clark moved to appoiut Mary Aune <br />Gauvin to the Board of Adjustment fill the unexpired <br />term of Jeffrey Bush, term effective to January 2005 <br />and to appoint Frank Tratnyek to the Board of <br />Adjustment to fill the unexpired term of William <br />Lovett, term effective to January 2006. Motion was <br />seconded by Commissiouer Doerner. Motion carried <br />4 - 1 (Commissioner Cook dissenting) by roll call vote. <br /> <br />Roll Call Vote oftbe City Commission: <br /> <br />Commissioner Doerner - Yes; Commissioner Cook - No; Commissioner Hart - Yes; Vice Mayor <br />Clark - Yes; Mayor Pronovost - Yes. Motion passed 4 - I. <br />
