RESOLUTION 04-1500 - ENDORSING A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF <br />LOCAL GOVERNMENTS IN SEMINOLE COUNTY REGARDING <br />ENFORCEMENT OF TRAFFIC LAWS OUTSIDE A POLICE OFFICER'S <br />JURISDICTION <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Clark moved to read Resolution 04-1500 <br />by title only. Motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Doerner. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 04-1500 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, ENDORSING A <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF LOCAL GOVERNMENTS IN SEMINOLE <br />COUNTY PROVIDING FORA SUGGESTED AMENDMENT TO FLORIDA STATUTE <br />§23.l27(1), TO ALLOW LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS TO ENFORCE TRAFFIC <br />LAWS OUTSIDE THE OFFICER'S JURISDICTION WHEN THE OFFICER IS ON THAT <br />PORTION OF A ROADWAY ADJACENT TO THE OFFICER'S JURISDICTION AND <br />WHEN SAID ROADWAY BISECTS THE OFFICER'S JURISDICTION AND AN <br />ADJACENT GOVERNMENT'S BOUNDARY; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE." <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: No staff presentation was made regarding Resolution 04-1500. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Clark moved to approve Resolution 04- <br />1500 as presented. FIRST READING OF ORDINANCE 04-1129 - AMENDMENTS TO CITY CODE <br />ON PEDDLER/SOLICITOR REGULATIONS <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Clark moved to read Ordinance 04-1129 <br />by title only. Motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Hart. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 04-1 129 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AMENDING <br />ARTICLE ill, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES ENTITLED "PEDDLERS AND <br />SOLICITORS;" AMENDING DEFINITIONS UNDER SECTION 26-66, AND <br />EXCLUDING FROM THE DEFINITION OF "PEDDLER" OR "SOLICITOR" PERSONS <br />ENGAGED IN THE EXERCISE OF THEIR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS OF FREEDOM <br />
