City Commission Meeting <br />May 12, 2003 <br />Page 8 <br /> <br />THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE CORPORATE LIMITS WITHOUT THE <br />NECESSITY OF FURTHER QUALIFICATION THEREFORE; <br />PROVIDING THAT EFFECTIVE IN ACCORDANCE WITH LAW, THE <br />LANDS TO BE ANNEXED SHALL BE ASSESSED FOR PAYMENT OF <br />MUNICIPAL AD VALOREM TAXES; DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK <br />TO FILE CERTIFIED COPIES OF THE ORDINANCE WITH THE <br />CLERK OF COURT AND THE SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE <br />OF FLORIDA; AND PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: The Community Development Director stated that the property to be <br />annexed was comprised of two lots on Belle Avenue located 4/10th of a mile south of State Road <br />434 and has frontage only on Belle Avenue; each lot is approximately one (1) acre in size. The <br />intended use of the property is for two industrial buildings, which include manufacturing and <br />business components at the site. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: Approval of Ordinance 03-1085, Annexation of Belle Avenue, on first <br />reading. <br /> <br />Audience Input: Mr. Parks Wilson, Cadd Corporation, was present representing the owner to <br />respond to any questions about the pending project. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Moved by Vice Mayor/Commissioner Al Clark that Resolution 03- <br />1085, Annexation of Two Acres on Belle Avenue, be approved as <br />presented. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Linda Hart <br />and carried unanimously by roll call vote. <br /> <br />The Public Hearing for Ordinance 03-1085 will be scheduled for June 9, 2003. <br /> <br />5. Resolution 03-1418 - Abandonment of Easement on North East Triplet Drive/Hill Street <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Moved by Vice Mayor/Commissioner A! Clark that Resolution 03- <br />1418, Abandonment of Easement on North East Triplet Drive/Hill <br />Street, be read by title only. The motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Linda Hart and carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br /> <br />
