City Commission Meeting <br />April 28, 2003 <br />Page 12 <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 03-1417 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE <br />INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT FOR FIBER OPTIC COMMUNICATION <br />NETWORK WITH SEMINOLE COUNTY; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />Staff Presentation - The City has an Fiber Optic Communication Network Interlocal Agreement with <br />Seminole County. Mr. Segreto submitted the first amendment to this agreement which authorizes an <br />increase in the rate that Seminole County charges user entites. The City's cost for use of the <br />communication network is $0.13 per foot. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation - Approval of Resolution 03-1417 <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Moved by Vice Mayor/Commissioner Al Clark that Resolution 03-1417, <br />Fiber Optic Interlocal Agreement Amendment, be approved as submitted. <br />The motion was seconded by Commissioner Susan Doerner and carried <br />unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />First Reading of Ordinance 03-1083 -Amendment to Utility Billing Code <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Moved by Vice Mayor/Commissioner Al Clark that Ordinance 03-1083, <br />Amendment to Utility Billing Code, be read by title only. The motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Susan Doerner and carried unanimously by <br />voice vote. <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 03-1083 by title only as follows: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA; AMENDING CHAPTER 86, UTILITIES; ARTICLE II, <br />SEWERS, SECTION 86-82, BILLING; PAYMENT OF CHARGES, TERMINATION OF <br />SERVICES, AMENDING ARTICLE III, WATER, SECTION 86-191, BILLING, <br />PAYMENTS OF CHARGES; TERMINATION OF SERVICE; PROVIDING FOR <br />CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />Staff Presentation - The Finance Director stated that the amendment clarifies the terminology regarding <br />utility late fees. The amendment would read, "Late fees will post to the accounts following the due <br />date," <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation - Approve Ordinance 03-1083 on first reading. <br /> <br /> <br />
