The motion was seconded by Commissioner Doemer and <br />carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />3. Resolution 03-1407 - Military Leave Policy <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Moved by Vice Mayor/Commissioner Al Clark that Resolution 03-1407 <br />be read by title only. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Hart <br />and carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 03-1407 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />IMPLEMENTING PROVISIONS OF FLORIDA STATUTES 115.14 FOR <br />FLORIDA NATIONAL GUARD AND MILITARY RESERVISTS <br />EMPLOYED WITH THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY; PROVIDING FOR <br />CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />StaffPresentation: Resolution 03-1407 implements the provisions ofFS Chapter 115.14 for <br />reservists being called to active duty during the War. The City will enact the policy already <br />adopted by State and County governments to pay the reservist the difference between their <br />military pay and their current salary, in addition to retaining their jobs. Mr. Segreto said there <br />were two city employees currently in the process of being called to active duty. <br /> <br />Commissioner Clark noted the following correction in the Personnel Policies - Military Leave: <br /> <br />Paragraph 2, Line 4 - Change continued to continue <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Moved by Vice Mayor/Commissioner Al Clark that Resolution 03- <br />1407, Military Leave Policy, be approved as presented. The motion <br />was seconded by Commissioner Linda Hart and carried unanimously <br />by voice vote. <br /> <br /> <br />
