Consideration of Leave Accrual Adjustment for Battalion Chiefs Staff Presentation and Recommendation: The new Firefighters' Union Contract increased the annual leave accrual rate for firefighters. The requested adjustment brings the Battalion Chief's accrual level in line with the shift personnel who are covered by the Union Contract. In a letter dated March 18, 2003, the Personnel Director recommended that Battalion Chiefs on a 56-hour schedule receive the same annual leave benefit as negotiated by the fire unit effective January 1, 2003. MOTION: Moved by Vice Mayor/Commissioner Al Clark that the Leave Accrual Adjustment for the Battalion Chiefs be approved as presented. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Linda Hart and carried unanimously by voice vote. 5. Approval of Final Plat SP 02-02 - Walgreens (Shoppes of Interlachen) Staff Presentation: The final plat SP 02-02, for a Walgreens Drug Store in the Shoppes of Interlachen located at the southeast comer of the intersection of Lake Howell and Howell Branch Roads. The Planning and Zoning Commission approved the site plan (SPR 02-06) and conditional use (CU 02-13) on June 22, 2002. The preliminary plat was approved on August 14, 2002 and the final plat on February 26, 2003, conditioned upon the receipt of either a surety bond or certificate of completion from the Public Works Department. The certificate of completion was issued by the Public Works Department on March 13, 2003. The City Attorney has reviewed and approved the final plat and title opinion. The City Surveyor has reviewed and approved the plat in accordance with Chapter 177 of the Florida Statutes. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of the final plat for thc Shoppes of Interlachen on February 26, 2003 based on several conditions. The applicant has met all conditions except for those required for recording of the plat. Staff Recommendation: Approval of SP 02-02 Final Plat for Shoppes of Interlachen based upon the following conditions: I) The applicant pays $280.00 to cover the City Surveyors fees. 2) The applicant pays $93.00 for recording fees.
