City Commission Meeting <br />February 24, 2003 <br />Page 6 <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 03-1080 as follows: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, TO <br />AMEND THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, BY <br />AMENDING THE OFFICIAL FUTURE LAND USE MAP <br />ESTABLISHING THE FUTURE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF <br />COMMERCIAL (C) FOR THAT PARCEL DESCRIBED IN SECTION I <br />OF THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />Staff Report ~ The Community Development Director stated that the purpose of <br />Ordinance 03-1080 was to apply a City Future Land Use Designation to property known <br />as the Grindle Property located on 1555 State Road 436. The property was annexed into <br />the City on November 18, 2002 and this amendment will change the Future Land Use <br />designation from Seminole County Commercial to City of Casselberry Commercial. <br /> <br />Legal Requirements - All proper notifications were given to the property owner and to <br />surrounding property owners within 500 feet of the property. The ordinance will be <br />scheduled for public hearing on March 24, 2003. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation - The Planning and Zoning Commission approved Ordinance 03- <br />1080 on February 12, 2003. Staff recommends approval of Ordinance 03-1080 to change <br />Future Land Use Map designation of the Grindle property to Casselberry Commercial (C) <br />on first reading. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Moved by Vice Mayor/Commissioner Al Clark that Ordinance 03- <br />1080, Future Land Use Designation Change of Grindle property to <br />City Commercial, be approved as presented. The motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Susan Doerner and carried 4 - 0 by roll <br />call vote. <br /> <br />First Reading of Ordinance 03-1081 <br />Rezonine of Grindle Property - ZB 02-09 <br /> <br />Moved by Vice Mayor/Commissioner A1 Clark that Ordinance 03- <br />1081, Rezoning of Grindle Property, be read on first reading by title <br />only. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Susan Doerner and <br />carried by voice vote. <br /> <br /> <br />
