involvement will enhance individual family <br />responsibility for juvenile offenders. <br /> <br />The Florida League of Cities will support legislation that: <br /> <br />Provides incentives to businesses or governments <br />that offer employment, career and educational <br />opportunities to juvenile offenders. <br /> <br />601.2 <br /> <br />Facilitates, permits and creates funding and <br />incentives for local governments to partner with <br />schools, utilizing existing facilities, to operate <br />juvenile out-of-school and after-school programs. <br /> <br />601.3 <br /> <br />Provides assistance for and strengthens or expands <br />efforts by law enforcement, school and elected <br />officials to stop violence in our schools. <br /> <br />601.4 <br /> <br />Restores state funding, suppor~ and assistance for <br />effective prevention strategies for youth at high <br />risk of entering the juvenile justice system and <br />their families. <br /> <br />601.5 <br /> <br />Provides state funding to support local truancy <br />programs and out of school suspension alternative <br />programs to assist in the prevention of juvenile crime. <br /> <br />601.6 <br /> <br />Allows flexibility in local government bidding <br />requirements for competitive youth-at-risk <br />programs that provide construction labon <br /> <br /> <br />
