City Commission Special Meeting <br />City Manager Interviews <br />February 8, 2003 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />Mr. David Niemeyer <br />1727 Maple Road <br />Homewood, IL 60430 <br /> <br />Mr. Niemeyer opened his remarks by stating he had spent his entire career in the Chicago area <br />and was ready for a change. He indicated that he was ready for a challenge and he believed he <br />had experience in areas that are of cm~cem to the City of Casselberry, i.e., purchase of an electric <br />system and downtown redevelopment. He stated that he would be an experienced and innovative <br />manager and an asset to the City of Casselberry. <br /> <br />Interviews by the Commission followed. Mr. Niemeyer indicated that he could start employment <br />within 45 - 60 days if selected by the City Commission. <br /> <br />Mr. Niemeyeer's resume' is attached to and made a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />Mr. Mike Mahaney <br />1135 Westlake Drive <br />Karmapolis, NC 28081 <br /> <br />Mr. Mahaney opened his remarks by thanking the Commission for their hospitality and for the <br />honor of being selected for an interview. He distributed handouts to the Commission regarding <br />some of his past accomplishments in Kannapolis, NC. He elaborated on family matters and <br />indicated that his wife was in poor health and he wanted to move to this area because of the <br />climate. He stated that his professional experience as City Manager for over 25 years and his <br />background in eng/neering would ~ve Casselberry the level of leadership required for good <br />management and good Comtnunity relations. <br /> <br />Interviews by the Commission followed. Mr. Mahaney indicated that he could start employment <br />within 60 days if selected by the City Commission. <br /> <br />Mr. Mahaney's resume' and handouts are attached to and made a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />The Commission recessed for lunch at 12:15 p.m. and reconvened at 1:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />
