CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of December 16, 2024— Regular Mceting <br />Page 20 of 21 <br />• City Hall and all City facilities will be closed at 12:00 Noon on December 31st in observance <br />of New Year's Eve and all day on January Pt in observance of New Year's Day. <br />17. CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS <br />Commissioner Thomas E. Kirk — Seat No. 4: <br />Asked for confirmation whether City Hall and City facilities would re -open on December 26"' <br />and Mr. Newlon confirmed they would. <br />Commended all staff who had a part in installing all the beautiful holiday decorations in Lake <br />Concord Park. <br />Commissioner Mark Busch — Seat No. 3: <br />Enjoyed all the many holidays events that had Occurred so far and also commended staff for <br />the beautiful holiday decorations. Mr. Newlon confirmed that the decorating was done by the <br />Recreation Division and Public Works Department staff. <br />Commissioner Nancy Divita - Seat No. 2: <br />Added her commendation to staff for the beautiful holiday decorations. <br />Thanked Police Department staff for assisting to find an acceptable solution to the concerns <br />expressed by Legacy Park residents about traffic issues in the Geneva School area and stated <br />since the school zone had been implemented in the area she had not heard of any additional <br />complaints. <br />Vice Mayor Anthony Aramendia - Seat No. 1: <br />• Enjoyed the four days of the Santa Run, stating it had been very successful once again, and he <br />thanked all the staff and volunteers who had worked to make it happen. <br />• Agreed that the decorations in Lake Concord Park were beautiful and he believed there were <br />approximately 150,000 lights that were there to be enjoyed by all for free. <br />• Attended the Tri -County League of Cities meeting hosted by Waste Pro on December 12"' and <br />had enjoyed the tour of the garbage truck museum. <br />• Reported that the Friday Food Trucks event on Friday, December 13t1i had been a great success <br />with its Home for the Holidays theme and that it had been held concurrently with the ReVision: <br />Seeing By Hand exhibit at the Sculpture House and the Art Glass Guild exhibit at the Art <br />House. <br />• Wished everyone a Merry Christmas in all languages and urged everyone to enjoy themselves <br />with their friends and families. <br />City Clerk Donna Gardner added that the City of Casselberry would be hosting the next CALNO meeting <br />on January 8"i, as it had traded dates with the City of Altamonte Springs, and the meeting would be held at <br />
