David Spindler, 212 Hill Street, spoke in opposition to Ordinance 24-1611. <br />No one else came forward to address Ordinance 24-1611. <br />MOTION: Vice Mayor Aramendia moved to approve Ordinance 24-1611 on first <br />reading, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Busch. Motion <br />carried by voice vote 4-0. <br />12. OTHER ITEMS <br />No items were presented for consideration on this agenda. <br />13. CITIZENS' COMMENTS <br />Mayor Henson announced that persons wishing to snake comment or make inquiry on any matter not on <br />the agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. Mayor Henson announced the rules <br />of decorum. The following individuals carne forward. <br />1. Gregory Case, 789 Mahogany Drive, expressed concerns regarding recent flooding and <br />ongoing flooding issues in the Summerloch Green community, including protocols for <br />notification to residents related to impending storms. <br />2. John Halliday, 851 Mango Drive, also expressed concerns regarding the flooding issues in the <br />Sunnnerloch Green community, including lake levels, the weir, and storm protocols. <br />3. Dianne Case, 789 Mahogany Drive, also expressed concerns regarding the flooding issues in <br />the Summerloch Green community and storm protocols. <br />4. David Thompson, 861 Conklin Court (unincorporated Seminole County), expressed various <br />concerns, including distance requirements from schools for sex offenders, disapproval of the <br />location for his HOA meetings, and a need to discourage distribution of advertising by <br />scammers and fraudsters. <br />5. Karen Hulbert, 410 Iris Road, inquired whether a workshop had been scheduled for further <br />discussion of the Palm Drive closure, as she had been unable to attend the last meeting, and if <br />so, how residents will be notified of the workshop. <br />City Manager Randy Newlon advised that a City Commission Workshop would be scheduled for Monday, <br />September 30, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. in the City Commission Chambers for further discussion about the Central <br />Casselberry Connectivity Project, which included the linear park and potential closure of Palm Drive. <br />Notice would not be provided directly to residents but posted as normal procedure. He advised Ms. Hulbert <br />to pass the information to her fellow residents who would be interested in attending. <br />No one else came forward. <br />
