Procurement Information Report for the Period August 1, 2024 through i August 31 <br />2024 <br />Mr. Newlon advised that the Procurement Information Report for the month of August 2024 was contained <br />in the Commissioners' agenda packets for review. He noted that the report contained information about <br />minor contracts that were issued under delegated authority of staff during this period. <br />B. Notification of Emergency Purchase Authorization of Sewer Lining Services for <br />Guinevere Drive Sewer Main Break <br />Mr. Newlon advised that lie had authorized the emergency purchase of sewer inspection, cleaning, and <br />rehabilitation services for a sewer main break which occurred at the intersection of Guinevere Drive and <br />Lady Susan Drive on September 11, 2024. The City's contracted sewer rehabilitation contractor was <br />unavailable to snake the repairs in a timely manner, so due to the emergency nature of the repairs needed, <br />the City Manager authorized staff to contact another local contractor, Atlantic Pipe Services, which was <br />able to inspect within 48 hours and perform the needed repairs on September 16, 2024. The amount of the <br />repairs made by Atlantic Pipe Services was $33,231.21, which was below the amount requested initially <br />via purchase order. <br />• Thanked all staff who had worked to make the Latin Art and Jazz Festival event on Saturday, <br />September 21" such a successful and very well -attended event, including the art exhibits on <br />display at the Casselberry Arts Center, the Art House, and City Hall. <br />15. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />Ms. Reischmann expressed appreciation to the City Commission, staff, and the City Clerk for the resolution <br />presented at tonight's meeting recognizing her service as City Attorney. <br />16. CITY CLERK'S REPORT <br />City Clerk Donna Gardner shared the following information: <br />There is currently a Call to Artists out for the upcoming memento mori themed art exhibit "Into <br />the Void". The artwork in this exhibition will remind the viewer of the inevitability of death <br />as a way to encourage them to celebrate the life they have. Artists may submit up to five works <br />of art for the exhibit via email at arts a,casselberry.org and the deadline for submissions is <br />October 1s` at midnight. <br />A new event, ROCK ON Lake Concord will be held Friday, October 4`' from 6-9 p.m. and will <br />feature Whitesnake's Joel Hoekstra and Devil City Angels' Brandon Gibbs, with opening act <br />Ensley Riley and Spitfire. <br />
