CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION Minutes of September 23, 2024 — Regular Meeting Page 16 of 21 WHEREAS, it is the feeling and sincere desire of tile City of Casselberry, Florida, through its duly elected officials and on behalf of its citizens and staff, to recognize the service and dedication of its City Attorney upon her retirement. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, that the sincere commendation and appreciation of the City Commission, both for itself and on behalf of the citizens and staff of the City of Casselberry, Florida, be and the same are hereby expressed to CATHERINE D. REISCHMANN, for her dedicated and outstanding service; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be spread upon the permanent records of the City of Casselberry and the original thereof delivered to CATHERINE D. REISCHMANN at an appropriate time established to recognize this service to the City of Casselberry and its citizens." Each of the Commissioners and the City Manager expressed their appreciation for Ms. Reischmann for all she had done for the City throughout the years, giving her credit for helping the City through some challenging times, always acting with professionalism, grace and honor, and helping to make it into the wonderful City it is today, and wished her well in her retirement. Ms. Reischmann thanked Mr. Newlon and the Commissioners for their kind words and stated that she had very much enjoyed working with the Commission and staff over the years and had always felt an overwhelming professionalism and feeling of kindness and respect amongst the Commission, the City Manager, the City Clerk, and other City staff which she felt made the City a sterling example of what a City can be when those attributes are present. She thanked everyone again for their kind words and promised to keep in touch. Audience Participation: The following individual came forward to address Resolution 24-3467: Cindy McGlynn, 1367 Laura Street, stated she and her sister had appeared before the City Commission in 2018 with a request for support of an ordinance about aggressive dogs, and she wanted to thank Ms. Reischmann for the work that she had done and the manner in which she addressed their concerns and the support that she gave, and she wanted her to know that it had made a real difference to her and her sister personally and wanted to thank her for everything she had done. No one else came forward. MOTION: Vice Mayor Aramendia moved to approve Resolution 24-3467, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Busch. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 4-0. 11.
