CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of September 23, 2024 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 16 of 21 <br />WHEREAS, it is the feeling and sincere desire of tile City of Casselberry, Florida, through its duly <br />elected officials and on behalf of its citizens and staff, to recognize the service and dedication of its City <br />Attorney upon her retirement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, that the sincere commendation and appreciation of the City <br />Commission, both for itself and on behalf of the citizens and staff of the City of Casselberry, Florida, be <br />and the same are hereby expressed to CATHERINE D. REISCHMANN, for her dedicated and <br />outstanding service; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be spread upon the permanent records of <br />the City of Casselberry and the original thereof delivered to CATHERINE D. REISCHMANN at an <br />appropriate time established to recognize this service to the City of Casselberry and its citizens." <br />Each of the Commissioners and the City Manager expressed their appreciation for Ms. Reischmann for all <br />she had done for the City throughout the years, giving her credit for helping the City through some <br />challenging times, always acting with professionalism, grace and honor, and helping to make it into the <br />wonderful City it is today, and wished her well in her retirement. Ms. Reischmann thanked Mr. Newlon <br />and the Commissioners for their kind words and stated that she had very much enjoyed working with the <br />Commission and staff over the years and had always felt an overwhelming professionalism and feeling of <br />kindness and respect amongst the Commission, the City Manager, the City Clerk, and other City staff which <br />she felt made the City a sterling example of what a City can be when those attributes are present. She <br />thanked everyone again for their kind words and promised to keep in touch. <br />Audience Participation: The following individual came forward to address Resolution 24-3467: <br />Cindy McGlynn, 1367 Laura Street, stated she and her sister had appeared before the City <br />Commission in 2018 with a request for support of an ordinance about aggressive dogs, and she <br />wanted to thank Ms. Reischmann for the work that she had done and the manner in which she <br />addressed their concerns and the support that she gave, and she wanted her to know that it had made <br />a real difference to her and her sister personally and wanted to thank her for everything she had <br />done. <br />No one else came forward. <br />MOTION: Vice Mayor Aramendia moved to approve Resolution 24-3467, as presented. <br />Motion was seconded by Commissioner Busch. Motion carried unanimously by <br />voice vote 4-0. <br />11. FIRST READING OF ORDINANCES <br />A.
