CITIZENS' COMMENTS <br />Mayor Glancy recognized members of Boy Scout Troop No. 341, sponsored by Community United <br />Methodist Church, present at the meeting and requested that a representative of the come forward to explain <br />what merit badge the scouts were working on. Assistant Scout Master Steve Krug, 292 Fallen Palm Drive, <br />stated the scouts present were working on their Citizenship in the Community merit badge. The merit badge <br />is designed to have the scouts learn about their community and how their local government operates. This <br />badge is one of many required to attain the highest rank in Scouting, the Eagle. One of the requirements is <br />to attend a City Commission meeting, choose one of the issues discussed at the meeting where differing <br />opinions were expressed, and explain to their merit badge counselor why the Scout agrees with one opinion <br />over another, <br />Mayor Glancy announced that persons wished to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the <br />agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. The following individuals came forward: <br />1) Ms. Deborah Delagelis, property owner of 1041 and 1043 Bluebell Drive, voiced <br />concerns regarding damage to the gate and pedestrian traffic that transverses through the <br />gate located at the end of Bluebell Drive into the Castlewood Apartments complex. Ms. <br />Delagelis presented the City Clerk with a petition of residents of Bluebell Drive opposed to <br />any sort of opening in the fence/gate at the end of Bluebell Drive. <br />2) Ms. Lynne Wilson, property owner of 1039 Bluebell Drive, voiced concerns regarding <br />damage to the gate and pedestrian traffic that transverses through the gate located at the end <br />Bluebell Drive into the Castlewood Apartments complex. <br />3) Mr. John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, voiced concerns regarding item K on <br />the Consent Agenda, Resolution 08-1979, the conveyance of property from the City to the <br />CRA. Mr. Casselberry also voiced concerns regarding the retention pond near the subject <br />property. <br />4) Mr. Harold Stewart, 2294 Park Maitland Court, congratulated the newly elected officials. <br />Mr. Stewart voiced concerns regarding the lighting issue on Lake Howell Road and inquired <br />if Seminole County could assist with improving the lighting along that corridor. <br />No one else requested to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. <br />8.
