All were present. <br />5. MINUTES <br />A. Minutes of September 22, 2008 - Regular Meeting <br />B. Minutes of October 13, 2008 - Regular Meeting <br />MOTION: Commissioner Solomon moved to approve the regular <br />meeting minutes of September 22, 2008 and October <br />13, 2008 as presented. Motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Miller. Motion carried unanimously by <br />voice vote 5 - 0. <br />6. PRESENTATIONS/COMMENDATIONS <br />A. Casselberry Bike Trail <br />Mr. Gary Warner, of Glatting Jackson Kercher Anglin architectural firm, gave an update on the Casselberry <br />Bike Trail. A copy of the presentation is attached to and made a part of these minutes. <br />Commissioner Doerner requested a comparison of per mile expenditures for the Seminole Trail and the <br />Casselberry Bike Trail. Mr. Warner stated that information would be provided at the public workshop <br />scheduled for December 3, 2008 at the Casselberry Senior Center. Commissioner Solomon requested that <br />the issue of safety be addressed at the December 3`d workshop. Mr. Warner stated the issue of safety will <br />be addressed at the workshop, Commissioner Miller requested a cost estimate of per mile cost for the color <br />bike lanes. Mr. Warner stated that information would be provided at the workshop, Vice Mayor Hufford <br />stated the economic value of having a trail should be addressed at the workshop to help ease some concerns <br />citizens may have about the trail. Mayor Glancy stated that the trail will provide aesthetic enhancements that <br />will be beneficial to adjacent property owners. <br />B. Panhandling and Homeless Presentation <br />Police Chief Jim Ruf gave a presentation on panhandling and the homeless situation in Casselberry. A copy <br />of the presentation is attached to and made a part of these minutes. <br />Commissioner Miller, Vice Mayor Hufford and Mayor Glancy encouraged Chief Ruf to develop the strictest <br />ordinance possible legally with respect to panhandling. Commissioner Doerner stated she does not feel <br />panhandling and homeless are not major issues in Casselberry and both issues have dramatically improved <br />over the last several years in Casselberry and Seminole County. <br />
