CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION
Minutes of November 10, 2008 - Regular Meeting
Page 11 of 32
Account Number Account Description Amount
Rollover INCREASE:
115-0210-515.46-15 Tree Replacement $136,073
115-0000-335.30-00 State Shared Revenues/
Highway Beautification $224,500
DECREASE:
115-0000-389.90-00 Other Non -Operating Sources $ 80,427
Change Order -Resolution 08-1971
INCREASE:
115-0210-515.46-15 Tree Replacement $ 44,173
115-0000-389.90-00 Other Non -Operating Sources $ 44,173
Discussion. Commissioner Doerner requested a clarification of the work being done for this project. The
City Manager stated due to the proposed flyover project at the intersection of State Road 436 and U.S.
Highway 17-92, the two medians south of Piney Ridge were not included in the project's design. Recent
delays in the flyover project warranted an evaluation of extending the landscaping toward the intersection.
Adding landscaping to one median that is composed completely of concrete requires the saw cutting of the
concrete and adding landscaping to the exposed areas. The quote for the additional landscaping is
$44,172.80 or 16.8% of the total contract amount. This additional median project, combined with the
landscaping of the FDOT parcels, will further encourage revitalization and redevelopment along the corridor.
MOTION: Commissioner Solomon moved to approve Resolution
08-1971 and related Budget Amendment BA #09-017 as
presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner
Miller. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5 -0.
G.
