Budget Amendment 424-056 — Revise Budget for Northgate Phase 1 Water Mails Replacement Project Introduction: Approval of Budget Amendment 424-056 revising the budget for Northgate Phase 1 Water Main Replacement Project to reduce ARPA (American Recovery Plan Act) funding by $850,000 and increase funding from Renewal and Replacement Fund reserves by $850,000 is requested. Discussion: On June 24, 2024 the City Commission approved the award of bid for the construction of the Northgate Phase 1 Water Main Replacement Project and accompanying Budget Amendment #24-051. The project cost totaled $2,887,124. It was proposed that proceeds from the American Recovery Plan Act (ABPA) in the amount of $2,227,220 be used to fund the project. Upon review, it was found that there were insufficient funds remaining to fully fund the project as planned. It is proposed to amend the project budget to reduce ARPA funding by $850,000 and to increase funding from Renewal and Replacement Fund reserves by $850,000. Budget Impact: Budget Amendment #24-056 will reduce ARPA funding by $850,000 and increase funding from Renewal and Replacement Fund reserves by $850,000. BA #24-056 Explanation of Request: This budget amendment seeks City Commission approval to provide funding for the Northgate Water Main Replacement Phase 1 project, in the amount of $850,000. Audience Participation: No one came forward to address the Consent Agenda. MOTION: Vice Mayor Aramendia moved to approve the Consent Agenda, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Busch. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5-0.
