CITY CLERK'S REPORT <br />Deputy City Clerk Linda Sundvall shared the following information: <br />• Four Town Hall Meetings are scheduled for the purpose of informing voters on the eight <br />proposed Charter Amendments which will appear on the August 20`l' ballot. The dates, times <br />and locations for those meetings are as follows: <br />- Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at 6:30 p.m., City Hall Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet Lake Drive <br />- Thursday, August 1, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., Casselberry Recreation Center, 200 N. Triplet Lake Drive <br />- Thursday, August 1, 2024 at 6:30 p.m., City Hall Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet Lake Drive <br />- Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., City Hall Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet Lake Drive <br />For additional information, residents call visit www.casselberry.org or call the City Clerk's Office at 407- <br />262-7700, Ext. 1133. <br />17. CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS <br />Commissioner Chad Albritton — Seat No. 4: <br />• Advised that he believed today was the last day to register to vote or to change party affiliation <br />for the upcoming August 20t1i election and stated registration could be done at <br />Register-toVoteFlorida.gov and would only take a few minutes. He encouraged those not <br />registered to do so, and if registered, to check to make sure their registration was up to date for <br />the election. <br />• Thanked the resident who had come to the meeting to express her concerns, noting that <br />communication between the City's residents and City government was important. <br />• Attended a Plant Swap event at the Casselberry Library on July 12"', which was sponsored by <br />the North Orlando Garden and Swap Group and is held monthly at the library or participants <br />to learn about plants of all kinds. He encouraged anyone interested to get involved with the <br />group. <br />• Expressed appreciation to retired Captain Michael Schaefer for his commitment and leadership <br />in serving the Casselberry community. <br />Commissioner Mark Busch — Seat No. 3: <br />Echoed Commissioner Albritton's comments about retired Captain Schaefer, thanking him for <br />his 29 plus years of service to the City and citizens of Casselberry. <br />Commended staff involved in preparation of the proposed budget, stating that once again they <br />had done a great job, and the budget was very straightforward and transparent. <br />Expressed appreciation for the work done to prepare and present the Casselberry Vision Zero <br />Action Plan and encouraged staff to keep up the good work. <br />
