CITY CLERK'S REPORT Deputy City Clerk Linda Sundvall shared the following information: • Four Town Hall Meetings are scheduled for the purpose of informing voters on the eight proposed Charter Amendments which will appear on the August 20`l' ballot. The dates, times and locations for those meetings are as follows: - Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at 6:30 p.m., City Hall Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet Lake Drive - Thursday, August 1, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., Casselberry Recreation Center, 200 N. Triplet Lake Drive - Thursday, August 1, 2024 at 6:30 p.m., City Hall Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet Lake Drive - Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., City Hall Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet Lake Drive For additional information, residents call visit www.casselberry.org or call the City Clerk's Office at 407- 262-7700, Ext. 1133. 17. CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS Commissioner Chad Albritton — Seat No. 4: • Advised that he believed today was the last day to register to vote or to change party affiliation for the upcoming August 20t1i election and stated registration could be done at Register-toVoteFlorida.gov and would only take a few minutes. He encouraged those not registered to do so, and if registered, to check to make sure their registration was up to date for the election. • Thanked the resident who had come to the meeting to express her concerns, noting that communication between the City's residents and City government was important. • Attended a Plant Swap event at the Casselberry Library on July 12"', which was sponsored by the North Orlando Garden and Swap Group and is held monthly at the library or participants to learn about plants of all kinds. He encouraged anyone interested to get involved with the group. • Expressed appreciation to retired Captain Michael Schaefer for his commitment and leadership in serving the Casselberry community. Commissioner Mark Busch — Seat No. 3: Echoed Commissioner Albritton's comments about retired Captain Schaefer, thanking him for his 29 plus years of service to the City and citizens of Casselberry. Commended staff involved in preparation of the proposed budget, stating that once again they had done a great job, and the budget was very straightforward and transparent. Expressed appreciation for the work done to prepare and present the Casselberry Vision Zero Action Plan and encouraged staff to keep up the good work.
