CASSCLBCRRY CITY COMMISSION Minutes of July 22, 2024 — Regular Meeting Page 16 of 18 Recommendation: The City Manager and the City Clerk recommended the City Commission consider designating a voting delegate for the Florida League of Cities 2024 Annual Conference. Audience Participation: No one carne forward to address this item. MOTION: Commissioner Aramendia moved to appoint Mayor David Henson as the City's voting delegate at the Florida League of Cities Annual Conference Business Meeting on Saturday, August 17, 2024. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Divita. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5-0. 13. CITIZENS' COMMENTS Mayor Henson announced that persons wishing to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. Mayor Henson announced the rules of decorum. The following individual came forward: 1. Karen Hulbert, 410 Iris Road, voiced concerns that as a resident of the area she had not been made aware of the Palm Street closures or the purpose for it and given a chance to address the Commission before a decision was made. No one else came forward. 14. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT A. Procurement Information Report for the Period June 1, 2024 through June 30, 2024 Mr. Newlon advised that the Procurement Information Report for the month of June 2024 was contained in the Commissioners' agenda packets for review. He noted that the report contained information about minor contracts that were issued under delegated authority of staff during this period. • Announced that two workshops would be planned for August, one prior to the regular meeting on August 12t1i to discuss the Brightwater property, and one prior to the regular meeting on August 26"i to further discuss the sign ordinance and digital signage. He stated there were not yet specific times scheduled for those workshops, but wanted to let the Commissioners know so they could plan for them. , 15. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT No report.
