CASSCLBCRRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of July 22, 2024 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 16 of 18 <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the City Clerk recommended the City Commission consider <br />designating a voting delegate for the Florida League of Cities 2024 Annual Conference. <br />Audience Participation: No one carne forward to address this item. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Aramendia moved to appoint Mayor David Henson as the <br />City's voting delegate at the Florida League of Cities Annual Conference <br />Business Meeting on Saturday, August 17, 2024. Motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Divita. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5-0. <br />13. CITIZENS' COMMENTS <br />Mayor Henson announced that persons wishing to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on <br />the agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. Mayor Henson announced the rules <br />of decorum. The following individual came forward: <br />1. Karen Hulbert, 410 Iris Road, voiced concerns that as a resident of the area she had not been <br />made aware of the Palm Street closures or the purpose for it and given a chance to address the <br />Commission before a decision was made. <br />No one else came forward. <br />14. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />A. Procurement Information Report for the Period June 1, 2024 through June 30, 2024 <br />Mr. Newlon advised that the Procurement Information Report for the month of June 2024 was contained in <br />the Commissioners' agenda packets for review. He noted that the report contained information about minor <br />contracts that were issued under delegated authority of staff during this period. <br />• Announced that two workshops would be planned for August, one prior to the regular meeting <br />on August 12t1i to discuss the Brightwater property, and one prior to the regular meeting on <br />August 26"i to further discuss the sign ordinance and digital signage. He stated there were not <br />yet specific times scheduled for those workshops, but wanted to let the Commissioners know <br />so they could plan for them. , <br />15. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />No report. <br />
