Ronald Reagan Boulevard. The property was reinspected and found to remain <br />in violation on May 14, 2024. The City requested a correction date of May 23, 2024. If there is no <br />compliance by May 23, 2024, then the fines requested should then be imposed for each day of non- <br />compliance thereafter. The City requested a subsequent hearing date of June 20, 2024, to determine <br />compliance. The Special Magistrate asked if there was anyone present to speak about this case. There was <br />a representative present to speak about this case. <br />Discussion: Christina Diaz, Assistant Fire Chief and Fire Marshal for Seminole County Fire Department <br />and Joshua Glennon, Fire Inspector were present to speak about this case. Ms. Diaz and Mr. Glennon gave <br />testimony for this case and described the numerous fire code violations list on the Notice of Code Violation. <br />Ms. Diaz stated that they conducted their first inspection on February 29, 2024, and two re -inspections , <br />April 4, 2024, and May 15, 2024. The initiation of going out there was trying to mitigate any risk to the <br />community due to a fire that occurred in Orange County at a much facility on February 11, 2024, that took <br />a week to extinguish the fire. Mr. Glennon described the photo evidence. The Special Magistrate asked <br />questions of City staff and Seminole County Fire Department. Discussion ensued. <br />Vincent Peluso, 4250 Alafaya Trail, Oviedo, FL 32765, American Engineering and Surveying was hired <br />by the client, and they have made some progress. Mr. Peluso stated there is a plan that addresses many of <br />the comments. <br />Michael Juan, 585 Queens Mirror Circle, business owner stated the property has gotten a little bit out of <br />control, but they now have the right equipment to take care of the situation and are working with the Fire <br />Marshal. Mr. Juan stated that there are violations on the list that have already been corrected. Mr. Juan <br />continued and asked for thirty days to correct the violations. Mr. Glennon stated it was a work in progress <br />but as of the inspection date on the 10 (May 2024) there were still twenty-four violations open. Mr. Juan <br />stated he has done everything he can, except for working on the piles and asked for 30 days. <br />The Special Magistrate asked if the City has anything else to add. Ms. Acevedo stated that the violations <br />presented are violations that are still current and in violation, due to the hazard this property imposes to the <br />residents of the City the City requested seven days to correct the violations. Ms. Diaz stated that as of May <br />15, 2024, these violations are still outstanding and found the situation to be worse. A new notice of violation <br />was issued on May 16, 2024, asking the business owner to cease any further production, or bringing any <br />further materials on to the property. <br />Jennifer Nix, Assistant City Attorney asked Mr. Juan when he hired the contractor. Mr. Juan stated at least <br />three months ago. Ms. Nix stated that the Code Compliance notice was dated April 3, 2024, but the fire <br />
