Code Enforcement Hearing <br />Minutes, May 16, 2024 <br />Page 3 <br />City Code 2-5.3.b Illegal land use. $150.00 per day fine requested. <br />Staff Presentation: Micelania Acevedo Code Compliance Supervisor gave testimony for case CE -24- <br />000371, located at 1649 Lake Drive. The property was reinspected and found to remain in violation on <br />March 13, 2024. The City requested a correction date of June 17, 2024. If there is no compliance by June <br />17, 2024, then the fines requested should be imposed for each day of non-compliance thereafter. The City <br />requested a subsequent hearing date of June 20, 2024, to determine compliance. Ms. Acevedo advised that <br />there was a representative present for this case. <br />Discussion: Ivan Tobon, 5120 Curry Ford Road, Orlando, representative for the property owner came <br />forward and addressed the Special Magistrate. Mr. Tobon advised that after they found out they could not <br />use the property as a four unit, they hired and engineer to pull all the permits, so the property can be <br />converted back to single family. Mr. Tobon stated they were asking for 180 days to come into compliance. <br />Ms. Acevedo advised that the City stands with 30 days. Discussion ensued. <br />Special Magistrate Ruling: A ruling was made by the Special Magistrate that this case was in violation of <br />the City Code Sections as listed on the Notice of Code Violation, Compliance should occur within 30 days <br />by June 17, 2024, A Subsequent hearing will be held on June 20, 2024, to determine if compliance. <br />CE -23-001880 1681 S.
