Code Enforcement hearing <br />Minutes, May 16, 2024 <br />Page 2 <br />Micelania Acevedo, Code Compliance Supervisor advised that all events occurred within the corporate <br />limits of the City of Casselberry. The Officer's notes, case narratives, testimony, photographs, supporting <br />documents and PowerPoint presentation were all entered as part of the official record. <br />Subsequent Case <br />CE -23-000484: New Case at 640 Diane Circle <br />Violation — City Code 1-4.3.a No Building Permit. <br />Staff Presentation: Micelania Acevedo, Code Compliance Supervisor stated that case 23-000484, <br />subsequent case located at 640 Diane Circle was not in compliance and the fine should be imposed, The <br />Special Magistrate asked if there was anyone in the audience that wished to speak about this case. There <br />was no one present. <br />Special Magistrate Ruling: The Special Magistrate made a ruling that the property located at 640 Diane <br />Circle was in violation and the fines should be imposed. <br />New Cases <br />CE -24-000373: New Case at 20 Cornwall Court <br />Violations — City Code 1-4.3.a No Building Permit. $150.00 per day fine requested. <br />City Code 2-5.3.b Illegal land use. $150.00 per day fine requested. <br />City Code 2-7.16 Required garage or carport. In compliance <br />Staff Presentation: Micelania Acevedo Code Compliance Supervisor gave testimony for case CE -24- <br />000373, located at 20 Cornwall Ct. The property was reinspected and found to remain in violation on May <br />13, 2024. The City requested a correction date of June 17, 2024. If there is no compliance by June 17, <br />2024, then the fines requested should be imposed for each day of non-compliance thereafter. The City <br />requested a subsequent hearing date of June 20, 2024, to determine compliance. The Special Magistrate <br />asked if there was anyone present to speak about this case. There was a representative present to speak <br />about this case. <br />Discussion: Bruno Tartarini, property owner 20 Cornwall Court addressed the Special Magistrate. Mr. <br />Tartarini stated that the carport permit was already taken care of and that everything else should be finalized <br />before June 17, 2024. Ms. Acevedo advised that a permit was obtained and finalized for the carport, that <br />code is in compliance and a permit has been applied for windows, doors, plumbing, and electrical. The <br />illegal land use also needs to be verified. Code 3-7.16 for required carport was in compliance. <br />Special Magistrate Ruling: The Special Magistrate made a ruling that 2-7.16 was incompliance, however <br />1-4.3.a, and 2-5.3.b we not in compliance and need to come into compliance before June 17, 2024. If no <br />compliance then the fines requested should be imposed. There will be a subsequent hearing on June 20, <br />2024, to determine compliance. <br />CE -24-000371: New Case at 1649 Lake Drive <br />Violations — City Code 1-4.3.a No Building permit. $150.00 per day fine requested. <br />
