CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />• Reported lie had been very pleased to attend the groundbreaking ceremonies for Wirz Park on <br />Thursday, April 4"' and for Wheel Park earlier today on April 8"i. He thanked staff and all <br />those who had helped to get those major parks projects to this point. <br />15. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />Gave a brief overview on some of the legislative bills that will most likely be signed by the Governor, and <br />some that already have been signed into law, which included the one related to the ban on public sleeping <br />and camping for the homeless; the glitch bill for the Live Local Act; elimination of a City's ability to <br />establish civil oversight boards for police; and two related to building permits, including specified timelines <br />and requirements for expediting of permitting processes. <br />16. CITY CLERK'S REPORT <br />• Expressed appreciation for everyone's patience for the earlier technical difficulties that had <br />delayed the meeting. <br />• Advised that the next regular monthly Friday Food Trucks event will be held Friday, April 12d' <br />from 6-9 p.m. in Lake Concord Park. <br />17. CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS <br />Commissioner Chad Albritton - Seat No. 4: <br />Thanked staff for their hard work on all the great projects happening in Casselberry. <br />Shared that the Annual Senior Educational Resource Expo would be held on May 3`d at tile <br />Recreation Center. <br />Commissioner Mark Busch - Seat No. 3 <br />• Stated that he had enjoyed attending the groundbreaking ceremony for Wheel Park earlier today <br />and extended kudos to staff for their work on the project, and also to the citizens for approving <br />these great parks projects. <br />Commissioner Nancy Divita - Seat No. 2: <br />Echoed the comments made earlier by Commissioners Albritton and Busch about the <br />groundbreaking ceremonies and projects currently underway in the City. <br />
