<br />Staff Presentation: Micelania Acevedo, Code Compliance Supervisor advised that case 23-000284, 1095
<br />SR 434 was not in compliance and fines should be imposed. The Special Magistrate asked if there was
<br />anyone present to speak about this case, there was no one present.
<br />Special Magistrate Ruling: A ruling was made by the Special Magistrate that case CE -23-000284, 1095
<br />SR 434 based on Code Officer testimony, the Respondents did not comply by the order imposed on July
<br />20, 2023. It was ordered that the Respondents pay the City of Casselberry a fine in the amount of $150.00
<br />per day for each day the violation exists and each day the violations continues to exist past the date of
<br />compliance of August 17, 2023. The burden shall rest upon the respondents to immediately notify the Code
<br />Compliance officer.
<br />10. CE -23-000980: Subsequent Case at 1020 Camelia Drive Violation — City Code 3-10.3.c.1
<br />Overgrowth, weeds, trash and debris.

<br />Camelia Drive was not in compliance and fines should be imposed. The Special Magistrate asked if there
<br />was anyone present to speak about this case, there was no one present.
<br />Special Magistrate Ruling: A ruling was made by the Special Magistrate that case CE -23-000980, 1020
<br />Camelia Drive based on Code Officer testimony, the Respondents did not comply by the order imposed on
<br />August 17, 2023. It was ordered that the Respondents pay the City of Casselberry a fine in the amount of
<br />$50.00 per day for each day the violation exists and each day the violation continues to exist past the date
<br />of compliance of August 31, 2023. The burden shall rest upon the respondents to immediately notify the
<br />Code Compliance officer.
<br />11. CE -23-001033: Subsequent Case at 1131 Castle Wood Terrace Violation — City Code 1-4.3.a
<br />No building permit, City Code 3-10.3.a.2 Buildings and accessory structure damage/graffiti, City Code
<br />3-10.3.a.4 Roofs, gutters, down spouts — maintenance, City Code 3-10.3.c.I Overgrowth, weeds, trash
<br />and debris, City Code 3-10.9.f Unlicensed and/or inoperable vehicles, City Code 1-4.1 Damaged
<br />windows, skylights, doors. Standard Unsafe Building Abatement Code (SUBAC) Unsafe Building
<br />Section 1-4.6.

<br />Castle Wood Terrace was not in compliance and fines should be imposed, the violation for inoperable
<br />vehicles was in compliance. The Special Magistrate asked if there was anyone present to speak about this
<br />case, there were representatives present.
<br />Discussion: Joseph Kovecses, Lowndes Law Firm, attorney for property owner, 215 North Eola Drive,
<br />Orlando, FL was at the meeting with the contractor, engineers, representatives from ownership, and
<br />management company and advised that they take the violations very seriously. Partner Engineering has
<br />been retained by ownership, the engineer's purpose has been to inspect the property, complete the
<br />engineering analysis, and help design the repair protocol. Mr. Kovecses addressed the six remaining
<br />violations, and their concern was that when work is put in to reach compliance they get notification of
<br />additional items. A lengthy discussion ensued by Mr. Kovecses reading over the violations.
<br />Jane Powell, 522 Pine Walk Trl, Spring, TX stated she was the author of the structure assessment report
<br />and on-site when the exploratory openings were done. Areas that had evidence of possible structural
<br />deterioration behind the facade were opened and looked at, the areas were then marked on a site plan to
