Resolution 23-3357 — Streetlichtina Assessment Preliminary Rate <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, <br />FLORIDA, RELATING TO THE ANNUAL PROVISION AND FUNDING OF STREET <br />LIGHTING SERVICES WITHIN THE CITY; PROVIDING FOR THE IMPOSITION OF <br />STREET LIGHTING ASSESSMENTS WITHIN THE ENTIRE AREA OF THE CITY; <br />ESTIMATING THE SERVICE COST TO PROVIDE STREET LIGHTING SERVICES, <br />FACILITIES, EQUIPMENT AND IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING <br />OCTOBER 1, 2023; ESTABLISHING THE METHOD OF ASSESSING THE STREET LIGHTING <br />SERVICES COST AGAINST REAL PROPERY THAT WILL BE SPECIALLY BENEFITTED; <br />DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO PREPARE A PRELMINARY STREET LIGHTING <br />ASSESSMENT ROLL; ESTABLISHING A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER IMPOSITION <br />OF THE PROPOSED STREET LIGHTING ASSESSMENTS; DIRECTING THE PROVISION OF <br />NOTICE IN CONNECTION THEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Introduction: Approval of Resolution 23-3357 as the Preliminary Rate Resolution for the implementation <br />of the Street Lighting Assessment for FY 2023-24 is requested. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget at this time. Once the streetlighting fee increase <br />option is approved, revenues generated by the Street Lighting Assessment will be budgeted in FY 2023-24 <br />accordingly. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works & Utilities Director recommended approval <br />of Resolution 23-3357. <br />
