CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION
Minutes of.hme 12, 2023 — Regular Meeting
Page 12 of 14
13. CITIZENS' COMMENTS
Mayor Henson announced that persons wishing to snake comment or make inquiry on any clatter not on
the agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. Mayor Henson announced the rules
of decorum. The following individual came forward:
Richard Johnson, 200 Kraft Drive, stated that he lived in the Sausalito Shores community and
was concerned that the roots of an oak tree which had been taken down by the City had pulled
up part of the street and the curb and the damage had not been fixed, which now caused the
street to flood in that area when it rained. He noted that he had seen repair work occurring in
other parts of the Sausalito Shores community and requested that the area at the corner of Kraft
and Kantor about which he had concerns also be repaired. Mr. Newlon asked Public Works &
Utilities Director Kelly Brock to get Mr. Johnson's contact information so his staff could look
into the issue for him.
No one else came forward.
14. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT
Advised that the contract for sale of surplus real property located at 329 Seminola Boulevard
that had been approved by the City Commission at its May 15"' regular meeting was scheduled
for closing tomorrow, June 13"i, and it did appear the closing would take place, and the sale
proceeds would bring back significant resources to the City's water and sewer utility.
Expressed appreciation to the City Clerk's Office staff for preparation of the proclamation
recognizing Juneteenth which had been presented earlier in the meeting.
15. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT
Assistant City Attorney Debra Babb-Nutcher who was attending the meeting remotely via phone apologized
for being unable to attend in person due to an earlier meeting that ran later than anticipated, and advised
she had no report.
16. CITY CLERK'S REPORT
No report.
