1.4CHANGES IN LAWS ANDREGULATIONS <br />In the event an applicable law or regulation is modified or eliminated, or a new law or <br />regulation is adopted, the revised law or regulation shall, to the extent inconsistent with this <br />Policy, automaticallysupersede this Policy. This Policy shall be administratively reviewed <br />annually byStaff, and updates recommended as needed. <br />1.5REQUIREMENT OF GOODFAITH <br />This Policy requires all parties involved in the solicitation, negotiation, performance, or <br />administration of City contracts to act in good faith. <br />1.6CONFIDENTIALINFORMATION <br />Confidential information shall be administered in accordance with the Florida Statutes <br />Chapter 119 Public Records Act, as amended. <br />1.7ELECTRONIC SIGNATURES AND SIGNATURE STAMPS <br />A.Electronic Signatures.Unless a provision of law orthe City Procurement <br />Procedures as approved by the City Manager specifically prohibits the use of an <br />electronic recordor electronic signature, the City Commission authorizes the <br />acceptance and distribution of electronic records and electronic signatures to and <br />from City staff and other persons, as well as between City staff members. <br />Additionally, the City Commission authorizes City staff to create, generate, <br />communicate, store, process, use, and rely uponelectronic records and electronic <br />signatures.Issuance or acceptance ofan electronic signature by the City is only <br />permitted when consistent with all applicable State and Federal laws and the City <br />Procurement Procedures as approved by the City Manager. <br />B.Signature Stamps.Signature stamps are permittedand are legally binding when <br />authorized by the City Manager and only when consistentwith all applicable State <br />and Federal laws and the City Procurement Procedures as approved by the City <br />Manager. <br />C.Notarization.The City Procurement Procedures listdocuments that are not <br />permitted for the use of electronic signatures and signature stamps.
