CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of January 23, 2023 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 7 of 10 <br />Planning & Zoning Commission <br />The Planning & Zoning Commission consists of seven (7) members and one (l) alternate member who <br />serve two (2) year terms. Ed Bakalla has applied to be considered for reappointment to a second full term. <br />There are currently two (2) regular member vacancies due to Nancy Divita and Michelle Saporito deciding <br />not to seek reappointment and one (1) unexpired term due to the resignation on January 121" of Dan Hale. <br />Dan Hale's term expires January 31, 2024. The other two regular appointees' terms will be effective to <br />January 3l, 2025. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Albritton moved to reappoint regular member Ed Bakalla for <br />a second full term to the Planning and Zoning Commission, term effective to <br />January 31, 2025. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Meadows. Motion <br />carried unanimously by voice vote 5-0. <br />Discussion: A brief discussion ensued amongst the City Commissioners regarding their preferences for <br />applicants to fill the three vacancies based on information contained in the applications and personal <br />knowledge of tile applicants. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Aramendia moved to appoint Ron Bryan as a regular member <br />to the Planning and Zoning Commission, for a first full term, effective <br />through January 31, 2025. Motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Busch. <br />Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5-0. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Aramendia moved to appoint Scott Minnis as a regular <br />member to the Planning and Zoning Commission, for a first full term, <br />effective through January 31, 2025. Motion was seconded by Vice Mayor <br />Busch. Motion carried 3-2 by voice vote, Commissioners Albritton and <br />Meadows dissenting. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Aramendia moved to appoint Kyle Curran as a regular <br />member to the Planning and Zoning Commission, to fill the unexpired term <br />caused by the resignation of Dan Hale, term effective through January 31, <br />2024. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Meadows. Motion carried <br />unanimously by voice vote 5-0. <br />Parks & Recreation Advisory Board <br />The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board consists of five (5) members and one (1) alternate who serve two- <br />year terms. Nick Santiago has submitted an application to be considered for reappointment to a second full <br />term. There is currently one (1) regular member vacancy due to Dia Nordstrom deciding not to seek <br />reappointment. All appointees' terms will be effective to January 31, 2025. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Aramendia moved to reappoint regular member Nick <br />Santiago for a second full term to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, <br />term effective through January 31, 2025. Motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Meadows. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5-0. <br />
