CASSEL13ERRY CITY COMMISSION Minutes of January 9, 2023 — Regular Meeting Page 7 of 9 related Budget Amendment #23-024 are being presented for consideration. Public Works Divisions Director Leonard Barden presented a brief overview of this item to the City Commission. BA #23-024 Explanation of Request: This budget amendment seeks City Colmnission approval to recognize the grant awarded by Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and reallocate funding for the construction of the Sunset Drive Livable Street Improvements Project. Account Number Account Description Amount Increase: 114-0000-331.90-20 FDOT/LAP Sunset Dr $3,172,304 114-0710-541.63-45 Sunset Dr Improvements Grant $3,172,304 114-0000-389.90-00 Other Non-operating Source $ 145,590 114-0710-541.63-40 Infrastructure $ 145,590 Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works & Utilities Director recommended approval to award ITB -2021-0719 and execute a Construction Agreement with W.T. Comp Inc. in the total amount of $3,488,233.00 for construction of the Sunset Drive Livable Street Improvements Project; approval of related Budget Amendment #23-024; and authorization for the City Manager to execute change orders up to a cuunulative amount of 5% as needed for the project. Audience Participation: No one came forward to address this item. MOTION: Commissioner Aramendia moved to approve award of ITB -2021-0719 to W. T. Comp Inc. in the total amount of $3,488,233.00 for construction of the Sunset Drive Livable Street Improvements Project, and related Budget Amendment #23-024, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Busch. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5-0. 13. CITIZENS' COMMENTS Mayor Henson announced persons that wished to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. Mayor Henson announced the rules of decorum. The following individual came forward: Colleen Hufford, 527 Queens Mirror Circle, expressed concerns about an incident in her neighborhood on New Year's Eve involving loud sounds and a large group of people who gathered in the southern golf course parking lot and left trash behind. No one else came forward.
