CASSGLBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of January 9,2023 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 8 of 9 <br />14. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />Advised lie was aware of the incident which occurred New Year's Eve mentioned by Ms. <br />Hufford, and staff was working with the City Attorney to find a possible solution for similar <br />occurrences in the future. He noted that residents can and should call the Police Department <br />with a noise complaint even if they cannot identify where the noise is actually occurring. <br />Commended staff on the award of contract for the Sunset Drive Livable Street Improvements <br />Project and funding for the project. <br />Again thanked staff for all they had done to make the holidays special in the City, including all <br />of the events and decorations. <br />15. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />No report. <br />16. CITY CLERK'S REPORT <br />City Clerk Donna Gardner shared the following information: <br />The next Casselberry Food Trucks event will be Friday, January 13th from 6-9 p.m. in Lake <br />Concord Park, and attendees can also enjoy the opening reception for the Florida Painters <br />Reunite Exhibition at the Art House fi-oni 6-9 p.m. the same day. Tile Exhibition will be <br />available for viewing at the Art House through January 30ti'. <br />City Hall and all City facilities will be closed Monday, January 16"' in observance of Dr. Martin <br />Luther King, Jr. Day. <br />The next regular City Commission meeting will be held Monday, January 23`d at 5:30 p.m. in <br />the City Commission Chambers at City Hall. <br />17. CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS <br />Commissioner Anthony Aramendia - Seat No. 1: <br />No report. <br />Commissioner Andrew Meadows — Seat No. 2: <br />• Commented on Ms. Hufford's concerns noting that the State preempts the City in regulation of <br />rental homes but suggesting the City could possibly look into adding "no parking during off <br />hours" signage to address the golf course gathering issue. <br />• Congratulated Public Works & Utilities Director Dr. Kelly Brock on being recognized by Smart <br />Growth America as one of its 2023 Complete Streets Changemakers. <br />
