Alarm_ Technician_ ncluding, but not _limited _to: work <br />orders,... service tickets, batter urchase or documentation from a licensed <br />contractor. <br />(H)) Responder means anindividual _ca able_ of reachinL, an Alarm -Site within <br />thirty minutes_ afterreceivin2 notice that an alarm dispatch request has been <br />— <br />re_c�nested for an Alarm Site, and who can-oroyide access and is authorized to enter <br />the Premises to -ascertain the status, including resetting and silencing of all <br />Q ui inept. <br />Sec. 34-3639. - Registration. <br />(a) Prior to the installation or use of any alarm system giving an external or remote <br />alarm, the owner or lessee of the Premises shall register the burglar alarm system <br />with the amity Police Department, and furnish the Q-ty Police Department with such <br />information as the department deems necessary to provide adequate response to the <br />alarm. Refusal or neglect of a business owner or lessee to register any an alarm <br />with the City may shall result in a $50 fine and could prevent the City Pat from <br />effectively responding to the alarm when it is activated. Residential owners will <br />have 10 calendar days to register from notification of failure to register, or the <br />owners will incur a $50 fine. <br />(b) Owners or lessees of existing seeur-ity alar -m systems shall have 60 days <br />registration gra notiee r eats of this Section This section only applies to <br />residential and commercial alarms. It does not apply to vehicle alarms (see 58 - <br />Sec. 34-3740. - Response to alarm by owner. <br />Ua Owners or lessees of any seamy alarm system, as indieated i Seel ^„ <br />36(a), shall provide a person to respond to the alarm location, when requested, in <br />order to reset or disable the alarm within 30 minutes of rotific ti from the time <br />the Police Department determines it is a false alarm. The City shall charge a late <br />response fee of $50.00 for a late response of more than 30 minutes. <br />(b) The Alarm Coordinator may waive this $50 late response fee if. 1) the Police <br />Department is unable to contact any persons to respond to the Alarm Site; 2) the <br />Alarm User or Responder is at a distance greater than 50 miles from the Alarm Site; <br />3) the Alarm User or Responder is unable to respond to the Alarm Site due to a <br />Ordinance 22-1576 <br />Page 3 <br />
