34-38. Definitions. Q Alarm System means any mechanical electrical, or radio -controlled device or system which is designed to emit, transmit or relay a signal or message and, which when activated is intended to, summon, or that would reasonably_be expected to summonpolice includinbut not limited to, local alarms. _Alarm -system does not include: (* An_ alarm installed on a vehicle, -unless_ the vehicle .is permanently located at a site; or (l An alarm designed to alert only the inhabitants of a remises and which does not constitute a local alarm. 4)_Alar Usermeans partnership, corporation or anyother _entity which has contractedfor monitoring, repair, installation, or maintenance service from an alarminstallationcompany or monitoring compamyfor an Alarm System, or_who owns or operates an Alarm System which is not monitored maintained,,- under aintainedounder contract. () Cancellation means therocess where police response_ is terminated after an alarm dispatch request has been received and the alarm compaanny notifies the Police Department that thereis not an existingsituation at the Alarm Site requiring police response, --if _.cancellationoccurs_prior to police airivin2 at the Alarm -Site. ----- - -- - Cancellation shall not apto an alarm dispatch i_nvolv_i_n domestic._ violence -. alarm stems_ 6) Dispatch Keuuest means -a notification, to the Police that an alarm either manual or automatic- has been activated at a--anccular Alarm Site. This may include, but is not limited to -an alarm discovered by_ a police officer before notification of an alarm from a monitor. or from a local alarmsystem that isnot -- -- - monitored It also ap lies_toerson(s) who are authorized to be present but do not know or remember the alarm code.
