CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS <br />Commissioner Mark Busch - Seat No. 3: <br />• Thanked retiring Finance Director Carol Conroy for all that she had done for the City, noting <br />that since he had been serving on the City Commission the financial reporting had been one of <br />the most impressive things he had seen. He added that she would be missed. <br />• Welcomed newly appointed Community Development Director Chris Schmidt and stated he <br />was looking forward to working with him. <br />• Commended Public Works & Utilities Director Kelly Brock on the presentation related to the <br />Complete Streets project for Winter Park Drive. <br />• Expressed thanks and appreciation to all City staff who took part in decorating Lake Concord <br />Park for Halloween, stating that they had done a fantastic job and he had received a lot of <br />positive comments about the decorations. <br />Commissioner Andrew Meadows — Seat No. 2: <br />• Commended City Clerk Donna Gardner and all staff who were continuing the outreach to <br />citizens, post -storm. He expressed appreciation for staff staying on top of keeping everyone <br />informed as debris removal and cleanup efforts continue. <br />• Expressed appreciation to retiring Finance Director Carol Conroy and wished her well in the <br />next chapter of her life, noting lie hoped she would keep everyone advised of how she is doing <br />in her retirement. <br />• Welcomed aboard new Community Development Director Chris Schmidt, stating that the City <br />Commission would be here to support him and his department's endeavors to make the City <br />continuously better, and lie was looking forward to working with him. <br />• Also commended Dr. Brock on the Winter Park Drive Complete Streets project plans. <br />Vice Mayor/Commissioner Anthony Aramendia - Seat No. 1: <br />Agreed with the earlier comments from the Commissioners relating to Ms. Conroy, Mr. <br />Schmidt, and staff. <br />Attended the Oktoberfest event at the German American Society and filled in for Mayor <br />Henson for the ceremonial tapping of the keg. Shared that the event was very well attended <br />and very well run, noting that that although many people didn't realize that it was within the <br />City limits, felt it was a hidden gem for the City. Ms. Gardner advised it was the 50`i' <br />Anniversary of the annual event. <br />
