CASSCLBGRRY CITY COMMISSION Minutes of Octobe4 24, 2022 — Regular Meeting Page 13 of 13 Reported that Casselberry Friends of the Park had hosted the Central Florida Top Brewer event with about 28 craft breweries participating. Broken Strings Brewery had won the People's Choice Award and 100 percent of the proceeds from the event will go back into the community, for parks, sculpture, arts and events. Stated that he felt it was very important to have policies and procedures in place prior to implementing livestreaming of meetings in the next couple of months in order to avoid some of the issues he had seen occurring with other cities that televise or livestream their meetings. Mayor/Commissioner David Henson - Seat No. 5: • Represented the City at the recent Mayors and Managers meeting where the focus had been on everyone's response to the storm. He added that lie felt the County had done an excellent job in coordinating efforts county -wide, especially Alan Harris, and he would like the City Commission to agree by consensus that the City should send a letter to Seminole County expressing that. The Commissioners did agree, and Mr. Newlon advised he would direct staff to draft a letter for the Mayor's signature. • Recently participated in the Annual Chamber of Commerce Mayor's Panel on behalf of the City and noted lie had not been shy about pointing out all the good things the City was doing. • Attended the Oktoberfest event at the German American Society but had to leave early to judge the costume contest for Spooktoberfest in Lake Concord Park. Stated both had been very successful events. • Will be attending the upcoming Municipal Advisory Committee (MAC) meeting for MetroPlan Orlando and will report on that at a future meeting. 18.
