CITIZENS' COMMENTS <br />Mayor Henson announced persons that wished to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the <br />agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. Mayor Henson announced the rules of <br />decorum. No one came forward. <br />14. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />• Congratulated newly appointed Finance Director Gladymir Ortega on the ratification of her <br />appointment by the City Commission and welcomed her to the City. Thanked current Finance <br />Director Carol Conroy for her generosity in agreeing to stay on for several more weeks in order <br />to allow for the best possible transition for the new Director, noting that he looked forward to <br />saying more about her many contributions to the City prior to her retirement date. <br />15. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />No report. <br />16. CITY CLERK'S REPORT <br />City Clerk Donna Gardner shared the following information: <br />• The Latin Jazz & Art Festival will be held Saturday, September 24"' in Lake Concord Park <br />from 5-9 p.m. and will feature the Rico Monaco Band, with special guest artist Tito Puente, Jr. <br />17. CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS <br />Commissioner Mark Busch - Seat No. 3: <br />• Congratulated Commissioner Meadows and Vice Mayor Aramendia on their unopposed <br />reelection to the City Commission. <br />• Welcomed newly appointed Finance Director Gladymir Ortega to the City. <br />• Thanked current Finance Director Carol Conroy for the fantastic job she has done for the City, <br />noting that more time will be devoted to thanking her at an upcoming meeting. <br />• Noted that change is not always easy, but he felt the ordinances brought forward at tonight's <br />meeting were necessary to accommodate area growth and future development of the City, and <br />thanked staff for the work they had done. He stated he respected the concerns that had been <br />presented and was confident the City would do what was right for both the citizens and the <br />small business owners in Casselberry. <br />
