January 11, 2010 Page 2 Letter of Understanding The City has requested that the County sample the following sites as part of the following Lake Jesup BMAP Monitoring plan: Sample Site Frequency Per Sample Cost Annual Cost Gee Creek northeast of Lake Not to exceed 12 $419.50 Not to exceed Kathryn times/year $5,034.00 Lake Howell -HOW Not to exceed 1 $244.50 Not to exceed times/year $244.50 The above sample locations will be collected using FDEP SOP for ambient water quality monitoring by staff (and/or contractors) certified in this type of field work at the frequency listed. Cost details are identified in Appendix A and B, based on the method of sample collection (i.e. grab or watercraft accessed samples). In accordance with Appendix A and B attached hereto, the City will pay Seminole County quarterly for the specified ambient monitoring program. The monitoring costs are subject to change dependent upon the number of samples actually taken (weather dependent) but will not exceed the frequency specified unless authorized by the City. Seminole County will invoice the City quarterly based upon the number of samples collected within that quarter. The above referenced monitoring plan does not include NPDES sampling sites and may be revised during the agreement period to incorporate additional BMAP or NPDES sampling sites that may be added as a result of regulatory and/or permit requirements, based on the schedule of fees on Appendix A or Appendix B.
