CASSGLBERRY CITY COMMISSION Minutes of June 13, 2022 — Regular Meeting Page 13 of 14 16. CITY CLERK'S REPORT City Clerk Donna Gardner shared the following information: Announced for the record that the election qualifying period for Commission Seats 1, 2 and 3 had been held from noon, Monday, May 16, 2022 through noon, Friday, May 20, 2022. Vice Mayor Anthony Aramendia qualified for Seat I and Commissioner Andrew Meadows qualified for Seat 2, each for a third and final term with no opposition, and Commissioner Mark Busch qualified for Seat 3 for a second term with no opposition. In accordance with City Code and State law, all three are deemed to be elected and the Commissioners will be sworn in for their new terms in September. The Get Outdoors Casselberry event will be held Saturday, June 18"' at Secret Lake Park from 9 a.m. until noon. Pre -registration is not required. This is an event that allows the City to showcase and encourage use of its waterways and allows attendees to try out kayaks and paddleboards for free. Additional information is available on the City's website. 17. CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS Commissioner Chad Albritton — Seat No. 4: No report. Commissioner Mark Busch - Seat No. 3: • Stated lie had no report but advised he had received some good feedback from people who had seen the press about the Police Station groundbreaking. Commissioner Andrew Meadows — Seat No. 2: • Enjoyed attending the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Police Station. • Stated lie was glad to be continuing on the City Commission for another term and thanked everyone for their support. Vice Mayor/Conunissioner Anthony Aramendia - Seat No. 1: Casselberry Chamber of Commerce Hob Nob will be held Wednesday, June 22nd from 5:30- 8:30 p.m. at Lyman High School. Reported on the CALNO (Council of Local Governments in Seminole County) meeting which was hosted by the City of Winter Springs on Wednesday, June Is'. There was a presentation by the City of Winter Springs on home occupation issues they are experiencing, and a presentation by Habitat for Humanity and each of the member agencies in attendance gave reports on issues, projects, and events in their various jurisdictions.
