CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of May 9, 2022 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 13 of 15 <br />14. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />A. Procurement Information Report for the Period April 1 2022 through 1 April 30 <br />2022 <br />Mr. Newlon advised that the Procurement Information Report for the month of April 2022 was contained <br />in the Commissioners' agenda packets for review. He noted that the report contained information about <br />minor contracts that were issued under delegated authority of staff during this period. <br />• Congratulated Public Works & Utilities Director Mark Gisclar who will be retiring effective <br />June 1 V' and thanked him for everything he has done for the City. He added that he had great <br />confidence that the staff put in place by Mr. Gisclar would continue to do a great job after lie <br />leaves. <br />• Expressed appreciation that the new police station had reached the point where construction <br />could now begin, even though there had been many challenges. Thanked all who had worked <br />to move the project forward. <br />• Stated he was happy to have the Brightwater Final Conceptual Master Plan in place. <br />• Advised lie would be on vacation for two weeks starling June 23'd and Public Works & Utilities <br />Director Mark Gisclar would be Acting City Manager in his absence. <br />15. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />• Wished the best to Public Works & Utilities Director Mark Gisclar for his upcoming retirement, <br />noting that his creativity and calm demeanor would be very much missed. <br />16. CITY CLERK'S REPORT <br />City Clerk Donna Gardner shared the following information: <br />• Announced the election qualifying period for Seats 1, 2 and 3 will be held from noon, Monday, <br />May 16, 2022 through noon, Friday, May 20, 2022. Anyone interested in qualifying for those <br />three seats should contact the City Clerk's office to schedule an appointment as soon as possible <br />to review the qualification requirements. <br />• Noted tonight's meeting is the only City Commission meeting scheduled for the month of May. <br />The next regular City Commission meeting is scheduled for June 13"' at 5:30 p.m. in the City <br />Commission Chambers. <br />• Announced City Hall and all City facilities, with the exception of the Wirz Park pool, will be <br />closed on Monday, May 30"' in observance of Memorial Day. <br />• Noted there are several upcoming City events between now and the next City Commission <br />meeting on June 13"' which include: Casselberry Food Trucks event, Friday, May 13"' from 6- <br />9 p.m. in Lake Concord Park; Rock N Blues Concert and Car Show, featuring musical artist <br />Tinsley Ellis, Saturday, May 28"' from 4-9 p.m. in Lake Concord Park; and Casselberry Food <br />Trucks event Friday, June 10"' from 6-9 p.m. in Lake Concord Park. <br />
