CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of May 9, 2022 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 14 of 1.5 <br />17. CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS <br />Commissioner Andrew Meadows — Seat No. 2: <br />• Stated he was glad to have finally gotten a guaranteed maximum price for the construction of <br />the new Police Station, noting it was much needed as extensive vetting of the existing station <br />had revealed there was just too much wrong with the facility. <br />• Wished Public Works & Utilities Director Mark Gisclar well in his upcoming retirement and <br />thanked him for all he has done for the City. <br />Commissioner Mark Busch - Seat No. 3: <br />• Added his thanks to Public Works and Utilities Director Mark Gisclar for all he has done and <br />wished him well in his much -deserved retirement. <br />• Thanked Community Development Chris Bowley for his work on the Police Station project. <br />• Congratulated all who had a part in another successful Earth Fest. <br />Commissioner/Vice Mayor Anthony Aramendia - Seat No. 1: <br />• Reported that due to COVID there was no Drop Savers program at Earth Fest on April 30"i, but <br />there were plenty of kids' activities and more, and the turnout was better than he had expected. <br />He thanked all the volunteers who had participated in the event. <br />• Congratulated Public Works & Utilities Director Mark Gisclar on his upcoming retirement, <br />stating he had enjoyed working with him over the years and thanked him for all he has done <br />for the City. <br />• Thanked all those who had worked to get the police station project to the point where <br />construction can begin, noting that it had been a long process, but staff and the consultants had <br />worked to get the very best value for the taxpayers' money. <br />• Reported he participated in a conservation cleanup held on Friday, May 0I' from 9-12 at the <br />Marigold Trailhead. <br />Commissioner/Mayor David Henson - Seat No. 5: <br />• Reported he had represented the City at both a National Day of Prayer event at Community <br />United Methodist Church and the MetroPlan Orlando Municipal Advisory Committee meeting <br />on Thursday, May 5tl'. <br />18. ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business, Mayor Henson adjourned the meeting at 6:19 p.m. <br />
