CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS Commissioner Andrew Meadows — Seat No. 2: • Stated he was glad to have finally gotten a guaranteed maximum price for the construction of the new Police Station, noting it was much needed as extensive vetting of the existing station had revealed there was just too much wrong with the facility. • Wished Public Works & Utilities Director Mark Gisclar well in his upcoming retirement and thanked him for all he has done for the City. Commissioner Mark Busch - Seat No. 3: • Added his thanks to Public Works and Utilities Director Mark Gisclar for all he has done and wished him well in his much -deserved retirement. • Thanked Community Development Chris Bowley for his work on the Police Station project. • Congratulated all who had a part in another successful Earth Fest. Commissioner/Vice Mayor Anthony Aramendia - Seat No. 1: • Reported that due to COVID there was no Drop Savers program at Earth Fest on April 30"i, but there were plenty of kids' activities and more, and the turnout was better than he had expected. He thanked all the volunteers who had participated in the event. • Congratulated Public Works & Utilities Director Mark Gisclar on his upcoming retirement, stating he had enjoyed working with him over the years and thanked him for all he has done for the City. • Thanked all those who had worked to get the police station project to the point where construction can begin, noting that it had been a long process, but staff and the consultants had worked to get the very best value for the taxpayers' money. • Reported he participated in a conservation cleanup held on Friday, May 0I' from 9-12 at the Marigold Trailhead. Commissioner/Mayor David Henson - Seat No. 5: • Reported he had represented the City at both a National Day of Prayer event at Community United Methodist Church and the MetroPlan Orlando Municipal Advisory Committee meeting on Thursday, May 5tl'. 18. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business, Mayor Henson adjourned the meeting at 6:19 p.m.
