Second Reading of Ordinance 22-1564 — Amending Chapter 78, Taxation of the City Code of Ordinances to Provide for the Deer Run MSBU The City Cleric read Ordinance 22-1564 by title, as follows: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, CREATING SECTIONS 78- 3 AND 78-4, ARTICLE I, GENERAL, OF CHAPTER 78, TAXATION, AUTHORIZING THE INCLUSION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY IN THE DEER RUN MUNICIPAL SERVICE BENEFIT UNIT CREATED AND ESTABLISHED BY SEMINOLE COUNTY, FLORIDA, FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING STABILIZATION NEEDS, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, RENOVATION AND REFURBISHMENT OF RECREATIONAL FACILITIES FOR USE AS A COMMUNITY CENTER, DRAINAGE AND OTHER ESSENTIAL FACILITIES WITHIN THE UNIT; PROVIDING IDENTIFICATION OF PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY AUTHORIZED FOR INCLUSION IN SAID UNIT; PROVIDING FOR PERIOD OF EFFECTIVENESS; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." Notice of Public Hearing: The Notice of Public Hearing relative to second reading of Ordinance 22-1564 was advertised in the Orlando Sentinel on Thursday, February 3, 2022. Introduction: Ordinance 22-1564 creates Sections 78-3 and 78-4 of Chapter 78 Taxation to authorize the inclusion of certain properties located within the City of Casselberry in the Deer Run Municipal Services Benefit Unit.
