Page I1 <br />2021-2025 INTER -LOCAL VOLUNTARY COOPERATION <br />OPERATIONAL ASSISTANCE <br />COMBINED MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT <br />City of Altamonte Springs, Florida <br />City of Apopka <br />City of Casselberry, Florida <br />City of Lake Mary, Florida <br />City of Longwood, Florida <br />City of Maitland, Florida <br />City of Oviedo, Florida <br />City of Sanford, Florida <br />City of Winter Park <br />City of Winter Springs, Florida <br />Sanford Airport Authority <br />Sheriff of Seminole County, Florida <br />The University of Central Florida Board of Trustees on behalf of its Police Department <br />WHEREAS, the undersigned law enforcement agencies establish this mutual aid agreement <br />pursuant to Section 23.1225, Florida Statutes, known as the Florida Mutual Aid Act. In accord <br />with the authority granted therein, the jurisdictions enter into the following agreement <br />covering voluntary cooperation and operational assistance. The agreement provides for law <br />enforcement activities across jurisdictional lines in certain defined circumstances for the <br />purpose of protecting the public peace and safety and preserving the lives and property of <br />the citizens of each participating jurisdiction. <br />WHEREAS, the subscribed law enforcement agencies are so located in relation to each <br />other that it is to the advantage of each to receive and extend Mutual Aid in the form of law <br />enforcement services and resources to adequately respond to continuing, multi -jurisdictional <br />law enforcement problems, so as to protect the public peace and safety, and preserve the <br />lives and property of the people; and <br />WHEREAS, the Parties, recognize that an increasing number of criminal offenders are <br />operating across jurisdictional lines and the Parties have determined that it is in the best <br />interest of the health, safety and welfare of the citizens within the jurisdictions of the Parties <br />to enter into a Voluntary Cooperation Agreement and Operational Assistance Agreement; <br />and <br />Inter Local Multi Jurisdiction Combined Mutual Aid Agreement January 1, 2021 — January 31, 2021. Cities <br />of Altamonte Springs, Casselberry, Lake Mary, Longwood, Oviedo, Sanford, Winter Springs and the <br />Sanford Airport Authority, The University of Central Florida Board of Trustees on behalf of its Police <br />Department and the Seminole County Sheriff's Office <br />
